Kids Party Favors

Right around the time of my son's third birthday, he was really into Monster's Inc. and asked if he could have a "Monsters" party. Of course we said yes!

Unfortunately, this party theme is not a popular one so we struggled finding items for decoration and ideas for party favors. Luckily my husband and I are a good combo of crafty and artsy so we were able to make many of the decorations based on the movie characters.

The favors were my domain and I really got creative! I got party favor boxes in green and purple, the main colors from the movie, and turned them into "monster boxes" with googly eyes, mouths, and feet. In each box I put the traditional age-appropriate candies (ring pops, Hershey Bars), Monsters, Inc. fruit snack packs, and a "make your own monster" craft kit I found at Michaels.

This might be my favorite favor I've made to date!
